Activist Hub Radio 4/3/11 Student Activist Conference

This week Adam and I interview Justin Stein, the inter campus coordinator for the Peace Economy Project and the student co-chair for Jobs with Justice about the upcoming Student Activist Coalition of St. Louis Conference. The conference will be held on Saturday April 9th at the Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis, will feature workshops panel discussions and other events to build and strengthen student and youth activist in St. Louis.

We moved on to NPR getting punked by James O'Keefe's deceitful video editing, and ended the show discussing the Obama administration's maltreatment of Pfc. Bradley Manning.

Massey talks about his pending court case, the hostility he has experienced from the university administration and the police force, and how UMSL has refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing.

The Wisconsin Revolution Continued Activist Hub Radio 2/27/10

Adam and I continue our discussion on Wisconsin and the labor movement's efforts to block Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker's plan to destroy collective bargaining rights for public workers and we also tackle the media blackout from the mainstream media. We end the show looking at the St. Louis Tea Party's paranoia over the New Black Panther Party and the Muslim Brotherhood.

This week Adam and I talked with Cathy Sherwin, the communications director for the Missouri AFL-CIO, about the unfolding mass movement in the state of Wisconsin. We talked about why the Republican bill would damage working families across the country, the misinformation from the media, and how the efforts like Republican Governor Scott Walker's are being replicated in Missouri and across the nation by wealthy conservative groups and the Koch Brothers.
